Today Pam McKinstry lives in Carmel valley, California with her husband David Sullivan. Pam opened the Sconset Café in 1982 and sold it in 1996. She spent the next 6 years living and working in the Zambian bush of Africa. Retruning from Africa in 2002 she became the culinary consultant for EWarthbound Farm and co-authored two cookbooks for them which became instatn best sellers.

For the past 11 years she has worked as an organic inspector for the largest ceertifying agency in the uUnited States, traveling all ver the U.S. and Canada inspecting farms and processing facilities. She continues to work on becomeing fluent in French and upon retiring plans to study sculpture and live part time in France.

Judi Hill and Pam McKinstry have been close friends for the past 35 years. Judi sold hundreds of the Sconset Café cookbooks at Hill's of Nantucket and still has requests. Pam and Judi had often talked of reprinting the entire series bu not until 2014 did Judi finally take the bull by the horns and begin publishin. Starting with the first "Pink" edition, originally published in 1985, Judi is keeping this a Nantucket project, collaborating with Peter Sylvia, owner of Poet's Corner Press, to reprint this classic cookbook in its original format.
